In order to exchange data between two devices
(e.g. autopilot and GPS), the NMEA standard
was introduced. Take advantage of the NMEA2000 system and connect up to 50 devices in no time at all using T-connectors and multiway terminal blocks. In an NMEA2000 network, data is transmitted via a so-called Controller Area Network (CAN bus). The CAN bus system simplifies installation and transmits data to all devices in the network. Compared to the older NMEA0183 system, the NMEA2000 network is more reliable and much easier to install and extend.
