Gleistein's yachting ropes satisfy the highest demands on the water. Their rigging products are suitable for every situation and user, from dinghies to superyachts, from hobby skippers to pro sailors - there’s a rope that’s perfect for every application. Long service life, optimal handling and outstanding technical attributes make Gleinstein's products the unrivalled choice.
In the high-end regatta and superyacht markets, textile fibre ropes, such as those made out of Dyneema®, Vectran and Technora boast strength and excellent elongation, in comparison to equally-dimensioned wire rope counterparts. “High modulus” fibres are the basis used in the production of these ropes. They impress users with their extreme performance characteristics, incredibly low weight with excellent handling. Protective covers and coatings are used to protect against abrasion and wear.
With its wire rope replacement, DynaOne®, Gleistein Ropes has created a world standard boasting a perfect balance of extreme strength and lowest elongation with long service life. Even without a protective cover, DynaOne® is a “real” rope with exceptional all-round characteristics. It successfully competes against both other textile rope products and wire ropes, in all sizes and markets – even in recreational marine! The advanced construction has enabled the birth of an entire product family. Brand new: creep-free DynaOne® MAX enters the market in the 2014 season, enabling static shrouds and stays with never-before-attained low weight. And as such, this lightening of load comes to the fore where it is felt the most – right at the top of the rig!
Yacht owners will also find a complete range of high performance, long-lasting ropes from Gleistein. For example, the low-elongation DynaLite, which enables the power of Dyneema®, for use in conventional fittings and also trumps with excellent handling attributes. Or DockTwin: the continuously flexible mooring line that integrates shock absorption properties.
Uniting SVB and Gleistein is a long-term cooperation based on trust. Reliability in terms of quality and deliverability has continually strengthened our successful partnership over the years. Besides its comprehensive range, SVB also offers individual splicing services to ensure the rope’s potential is exploited right to its end termination. After all, only a properly deployed Gleistein rope deserves to bear the title “The Perfect Line”!
