Active-X-Band Radar Target Amplifier
The Echomax Active-X radar target amplifier reacts to radar signals in the X-band (9.30 - 9.50 GHz) and sends them back to the transmitter amplified and slightly delayed on the same frequency. This significantly increases the range and visibility of smaller vehicles. The amplifier is primarily intended for small ships without radar equipment. The echo signal corresponds to a 25m yacht. Inflatable boats can be detected from 8 to 10 nautical miles or more instead of 1 to 2 nautical miles. However, this is always dependent on weather, signal quality and swell.
