Save lives on board

- Distress beacons for boats -

The US American company ACR has dedicated its time and expertise to developing emergency beacons designed to save lives. Today, their highly innovative MOBs (Man Over Board), PLBs (Personal Locator Beacon) and EPIRBs (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon) are now at the forefront of international developments in electronic rescue beacons. The current safety standards we have on board are thanks to them and we look forward to the future, where we are sure to see further innovations.

Satellite-based alarm signal in an emergency

PLB stands for Personal Locator Beacon. These devices are registered to the person, not the boat. Registration must be made in the country where you are resident.

AIS MOB / AIS SART

AIS MOB / SART devices are best suited for use in coastal or inland waters. These AIS MOB transmitters send an AIS emergency signal. which can be received by surrounding ships equipped with an AIS receiver. Because they use VHF frequencies, their range depends on the antenna height. We therefore recommend an AIS MOB transmitter in addition to your EPIRB.
