These Side-Power bow thrusters come boxed with a tunnel, mount and connection cable.
Bow thrusters, or stern thrusters, are installed on ships below the waterline at right angles to the actual direction of travel. They are designed to make manoeuvring easier by reducing turning circles and making it possible to navigate sideways.
Bow thrusters and stern thrusters simplify docking and casting off manoeuvres in bad weather conditions. Some of today's motor yachts have also installed a stern thruster in addition to a bow thruster to enable traversing (lateral movement of a ship).
