VSM 422 Tank Sensor for Water/Wastewater and Diesel
Product details
Ultrasonic water/wastewater and diesel tank sensor. Can only be used in conjunction with the BLUE SEA System Monitor VSM 422.
- Power supply: 10-32 volts
- Power consumption: approx. 28 mA (12 V)
- Elec. connection 3-core cable, can be extended as desired
- purple = POS electrical system (5 A fuse required)
- black = NEG wiring system
- pink = transducer output for display
- Maximum tank depth 810 mm
- Minimum distance to other tank installations: approx. 80 mm
- Temperature range: -40 to + 85°C
- Easy mounting on SAE5 tank flange
- Fastening torque: max. 1.7 Nm (15 in-lbs)
- Measurement accuracy: +/- 3.8 mm (0.125")
- Not identifiable measuring range* (dead range at PN1810) between bottom of transducer and liquid: 50.8 mm (2.00")
* Note
The tank sensor VSM422 is equipped with a tube on the bottom. This prevents potential adhesions to the bottom of the transducer, for example when used in grey water and sewage tanks.
When filling the tank, an air pocket is created inside this tube, which results in a "dead zone" of about 5 cm (2") between the tank top and the liquid's surface during measurement.
Completely filling the tank may result in a measurement error.
Our tip when completely filling the tank with fresh water or diesel: The dead zone is eliminated by drilling a small hole in the pipe near the bottom of the sensor or by removing the pipe.
