Flag of English Hi guys, I have a technical question - Battery Charger SBC 500 NRG / 12 V / 40 A is equipped with charging outputs. Does it mean that I can connect and charge 3 different types of batteries? I.e. AGM ( port1) , conventional Leisure lead battery( port2) , standard start batteries (port 3) ? Would the charger recognise the batterries and charge accordingly ? It happened that I have these 3 types of batteries on board. Do I need to know anything to not to spoil them ? Thank you very much for any input Dar Ireland

With this charger, you can only select the charging curve for one battery type. The selected curve applies to all 3 charging outputs. If you still want to connect 3 different battery types, you should always check the charging voltages recommended by the battery manufacturers for absorption and continuous charging and make sure that these are not exceeded by the adjusted charging curve. You will find the charger's output voltages in the technical data section of the manual. Since not only the voltage level but also the duration of the equalisation charge can vary with different characteristic curves, you should nevertheless be aware that charging different battery types may not be optimal for some batteries. Finally, please note that one output is marked as "MASTER". You should connect the most frequently used battery to this output. This is usually the service battery.
