Product details

The WINCHER is a specially designed rubber moulding fitting over the top of a standard winch to handle the rope on the drum, similar to a self-tailing winch. When the line is sheeted under load, the coil climbs up and grips the underside of the WINCHER. Sold as pair.

Available in 4 sizes.

Wincher sizes

Size S: suitable for the following Winches: LEWMAR 7, 7ct, 8, 12ct,16, Antal W8, Barton 21200, 21201, 21202, Harken B8, B16.2

Size M suitable for the following Winches: LEWMAR 30, 40 Antal W9, W16, W30, Harken B32.2, 40.2

Size L suitable for the following Winches: LEWMAR 44, Antal W42

Size XL suitable for the following Winches: Antal W44, Harken B42.2

Please note: The fitting dimensions above might very according to the revision / age of your winch. To make sure the wincher will fit, please measure the drum diameter of your winch.

Satisfactory experience
This item performs beyond my expectations. I bought a pair of size S for my old Lewmar 16 wiches. It was quite hard to install them, but using hot water and a rope following the tutorial video we managed to install it. There were some reviews where they complained about it could not hold diameter 10 rope, but in my case it works perfectly. Even my jib-sheet is a tiny bit thicker than 10, I woud say it is 10.5 size with a cotton outer layer, but it cooperates well with the wicher. 100% recommended item!

Itse asensin noi vastapuolen vinssillä venyttämällä ja pyöräytin myös sisäpintaan hieman saippuaa. Uskoisin, että M-koko voisi käydä paremmin, riippuu myös köyden paksuudesta (S=8-10mm / M=10-12mm)

The Medium WIncher will fit the drum but the top lip is too wide, 125mm I believe. Going up to large will not work as the wincher will slip on the drum. Sorry, we are unable to help you in this instance

You should measure winch diameter just below top ring (not in the middle of drum).

Flag of English I have two winches of a width of 70mm in the middle of the drum. Will SMALL Size be ok? Also, although it says to use lines over 8mm, will it have a chance of working adequately if I use 6mm lines?

The small size will fit your 70mm drum however minimum line diameter is 8mm. 6mm will not grip on the wincher.
