The automatic stitching awl is a handy tool to have around. It is very practical for sewing strong material such as leather or sail reinforcements and doublers. It comes with two needles and a small spool of thread. The needles are fixed in a "cloth" to avoid injury.

Spareparts such as: needles, spools and yarns are available upon request.

Better than expected for minor repairs.
The seams turn out amazingly well after just a short amount of practice! Very robust, you can sew significantly stronger thread and significantly thicker layers of cloth with it than with a good household machine. It took a long time, but that was to be expected. Indispensable for smaller repairs on strong material (e.g. clew) and in inaccessible places.
