These flexible thin film solar modules are the perfect alternative to traditional framed glass solar panels, because they are lightweight, extremely thin, yet strong and extremely robust and seawater resistant. The material is flexible and can thus ideally suited to be mounted on curved surfaces such as camper roofs, sail yachts or boats.
The WAVESOL modules are suitable for use both at sea and on shore (car, truck, caravan, camper, tents, awnings, tarpaulins, tin roofs etc.). In combination with one of our charge controllers, they can be used to charge 12 V batteries.
The thinfilm WAVESOL modules can be bonded with usual adhesives, used for boats and caravans (eg Sikaflex).
The advantages of WAVESOL modules include:
- approx. 70% less weight than glass modules
- only about 2 mm thin, thereby significantly less wind noise and less air resistance on vehicles
- sea and salt water resistant
- extremely high performance / weight ratio, even in relation to the surface
- waterproof MC4 plug connection
